So Baby Girl Finch will here her in 10 days! Aahhh! I’m so excited to hold her and get to know her. I recognize though this time around will be different. With my first child, I didn’t have another little one to look after and a business to run. I was truly on leave for 3 months so it wasn’t a big deal to be held baby hostage.
That’s Right, I Said Baby Hostage
Those first few weeks at home with your little one are precious, but they can be hard too. You can’t go anywhere or do anything without your little pint size captor. And if you’re like me and had an emergency c-section and chose to breastfeed exclusively, then you’re really on baby lockdown. With that being said, I’ve learned a few things to make the first few weeks of childcare easier for you and your little one. Over the next 2 months, I’m going to post a 4 part series on ways to survive your First Weeks As A Baby Hostage. I’ll cover:
- Babywearing
- Bottle Feeding As A Breastfeeding Mama
- Cloth Diapering
- Baby and Me Classes
So stay tuned for next few posts and good luck to my fellow mamas getting ready to deliver.
